Barrier Breakers® becomes registered mark
Princeton, N.J. (October 2021) — It is with great pleasure that we announce that Barrier Breakers® is a registered mark with the USTPO!
Barrier Breakers® first made it’s mark as a Facebook group designed to help first-generation and minority law school applicants and students break barriers. In the group, over 600 members support each other by providing resources and getting their questions answered by Barrier Breakers®, Inc. Executive Director, Sydney Montgomery, Esq.
“As a first-generation student, I have made it my mission to give back to students like me, whether they’re in pre-law programs or are already law students,” said Montgomery. “I am so thrilled that I have been able to create a space where I can freely support applicants and students, create community, and give them quality guidance.”
Today, Barrier Breakers®, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping BIPOC and marginalized students access and succeed in higher education. The non-profit has helped over 3,000 students on their path to law school.
